How to avoid most viruses Make sure you have all the current Windows updates. Go here: Microsoft windows up-date Scan for updates and install all the "Critical" updates. Start your Antivirus Software (This is for Norton) and check the "Virus Definitions" date. This should be within the past week. If it's not, Check your "Subscription Service". If you still have time left, click "Live Update" at the top of the Window. (You must be "ONLINE.")
Note: Virus updates are released as new viruses are detected. There are often multiple updates each week. Make sure "Liveupdate" is "ON". You will notice the "liveupdate" icon in the bottom right hand corner shortly after you go online. Stay online until the icon disappears. If you don't have AntiVirus software or your subscription has expired, Stop in. We have the current version available. DON'T GO WITHOUT….IT COULD COST YOU! |
